As per an application filed by the Motorola Mobility division with the US Patent and Trademark Office, Google is working on a microchip that you tattoo to your neck. The patent describes a “system and method” to tattoo a microphone onto your throat. The tattoo, according to the US Patent and Trademark Office application, can include an embedded microphone, a near field communication (NFC) transceiver, and a power supply.
As per the filed patent, the tattooed mic enables a clear conversation by picking up your voice directly and by cutting down the background noise. Power for the device could be supplied by a variety of methods, including “solar panel technology, capacitive technology, nanotechnology, or electro-mechanical technology.”
This device can also double up as a lie detector which is bit scary.
